Bollywood versatile actor Sanjay Mishra is coming up with another gripping film titled ‘Turtle’ which is set to be released on ZEE5 on December 31.
The film is inspired by the real story of Mr Ramkaran Choudhary (Bagod) from Village Dehlod, Rajasthan.
The film received the National Film Award for Best Rajasthani Film at 66th National Film Awards, features Sanjay Mishra as the central character of the story and highlights the issue of the water crisis.
It had its premiere at the Jagran Film Festival on 2 July 2018 and has been selected in China Film Festival, Third Eye Asian Film Festival and Rajasthan International Film Festival.
The film is a metaphorical depiction of the turtle was in drought struck village of Rajasthan, Sanjay Mishra (as Ramkaran Choudhary), is churning the parched, sun-baked earth, to extract water and the common folk indulged in a tug of war, rotating on his shell, desperate to quench their thirst.
Sharing the update on Instagram, Sanjay Mishra wrote, “Sambhal jaao chaman walo ke din bhaar ke. We should think about this seriously. #WaterCrisis #mondaythoughtsWatch #Turtle on 31st Dec only on @zee5.”
The film is backed by Ashok H Choudhary and directed by Dinesh S Yadav.
‘Turtle’ also stars Amol Deshmukh, Teetu Verma, Yash Rajasthani, Ankit Sharma, Ramnath Choudhary and Monica Sharma.
