Sandra Bullock is set to headline a new film for Sony Pictures, with the Oscar-winning actor also coming on board as a producer for the project. The film will be written by screenwriter Dana Fox, marking another collaboration between the two after their earlier successful outing.
According to a PTI report, Sony secured the yet-untitled project following a competitive bidding situation, signalling strong interest in the film from multiple players in the industry. The project reunites Bullock and Fox after their 2022 adventure-comedy hit ‘The Lost City’, which performed strongly at the box office and was widely appreciated for its entertaining mix of action and humour.
While the studio has confirmed the key creative team attached to the film, details about the plot have not been revealed yet. The project remains in the early stages of development, with further announcements about the cast, production schedule and storyline expected at a later stage.
Bullock, one of Hollywood’s most bankable actors, has built a diverse filmography spanning romantic comedies, dramas and action films. Over the years, she has also expanded her role behind the camera, taking on producing responsibilities on several projects alongside her acting commitments.
With Bullock both starring in and producing the upcoming film, the project is already drawing industry attention. The reunion with Fox, whose previous collaboration with the actor delivered a major theatrical success, is expected to generate further anticipation as the film moves toward production.
