JioHotstar has bolstered its commercial leadership with the appointment of Sagar Gonsalvez as associate director, performance sales for sports. Based in Bengaluru, Gonsalvez will be responsible for strengthening the platform’s performance-led advertising strategy across its live sports and digital offerings.
In his new role, Gonsalvez will focus on building data-driven, outcome-oriented advertising solutions for brands, while deepening relationships with advertisers and driving revenue growth across JioHotstar’s expansive sports and OTT ecosystem. The appointment comes at a time when digital sports consumption continues to scale rapidly, creating fresh opportunities for measurable, results-focused brand partnerships.
Commenting on his new role, Gonsalvez said he was excited to begin this next phase of his professional journey at JioHotstar, with a clear focus on unlocking scalable performance growth for advertisers and working closely with teams to deliver tangible business impact for brands.
Gonsalvez brings with him over a decade of experience across digital media, ad-tech and performance marketing. Prior to joining JioHotstar, he served as deputy general manager, ad sales at Paytm, where he led high-performing teams and designed multi-channel strategies for gaming, ecommerce and digital-first brands. His earlier career includes leadership stints at Tyroo, ShareChat, ByteDance, Sony Pictures Networks India, Network18 and Times Internet.
With deep expertise in programmatic advertising, performance funnels and consultative sales, Gonsalvez’s appointment underlines JioHotstar’s intent to further strengthen its outcome-led advertising capabilities, especially as sports viewership and advertiser demand continue to grow across digital platforms.
