The iconic 1995 Bollywood blockbuster, Karan Arjun, directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, is set for a grand re-release in theatres on November 22, 2024, in honor of its upcoming 30th anniversary. Originally released on January 13, 1995, this legendary film stars superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in a riveting tale of reincarnation and revenge, PTI reported.
The cast of Karan Arjun also includes Raakhee, Mamta Kulkarni, Kajol, and Amrish Puri, whose performances helped cement the film’s status as one of the most memorable dramas of the 90s. Rakesh Roshan shared the announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) account, writing, “Karan Arjun aa rahe hai! Witness the reincarnation across the globe in cinema halls from November 22nd, 2024,” along with the film’s trailer and iconic #30yearsOfKaranArjun hashtag.
The story follows brothers Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan), who are reincarnated to avenge their father’s murder, orchestrated by their scheming uncle, played by the legendary Amrish Puri. The film’s thrilling plot and powerful dialogues captivated audiences and garnered a staggering Rs 43 crore at the box office during its original run.
The re-release also gives fans a chance to relive the film’s legacy, with supporting roles from Johnny Lever, Arjun, Jack Gaud, Ranjeet, and Aasif Sheikh adding to the cinematic experience.
