India’s high-octane hip-hop talent hunt just got a major upgrade as renowned filmmaker and action maestro Rohit Shetty officially joins Amazon MX Player’s Realme ‘Hip Hop India’ S2.
The blockbuster director, best known for his adrenaline-pumping films like ‘Singham’, ‘Simmba’, and ‘Sooryavanshi’, is now set to bring his trademark intensity to the stage of India’s biggest hip-hop reality show.
Following the massive success of its first season, which gave India breakout rap sensations and clocked millions of views, Hip Hop India is back with a fiercer, grittier second season and with Shetty’s association, it promises to elevate the stakes even higher.
Realme ‘Hip Hop India’ S2 aims to spotlight raw, street-bred rap talent from across the country, blending India’s vibrant underground music culture with cinematic storytelling and live performance. The show will continue to be hosted on Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free AVOD streaming platform, which has made waves for offering premium content to over 250 million users.
Speaking about this unique collaboration, Rohit Shetty said, “Hip-hop is all about energy, attitude, and truth — and that’s something I’ve always admired. It’s raw, real, and unapologetic. When I was approached to associate with Season 2, I didn’t think twice. It’s time we give India’s underground voices a larger-than-life stage to shine, and Hip Hop India is the perfect launchpad.”
Season 1 saw a stellar panel of mentors and judges, including the likes of Badshah and Raftaar, who helped shape the journeys of emerging artists from the streets of Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and beyond. With Shetty in the mix, fans can expect a fusion of style, performance, drama, and substance — all wrapped in the spirit of India’s hip-hop movement.
According to Karan Bedi, Head of Amazon MX Player, “Bringing Rohit Shetty on board is a natural fit. He embodies the power, flair, and mass appeal that Hip Hop India stands for. Season 2 is going to be more immersive, more interactive, and more explosive than ever before.”
Realme, continuing as the title sponsor, reflects its commitment to youth-driven culture and disruptive creativity. With robust support from partners and a nationwide talent hunt underway, Hip Hop India Season 2 is all set to become the voice of a generation.
Whether you’re a fan of underground rap, street battles, or just high-energy entertainment with an edge, ‘Hip Hop India’ S2 will stream exclusively on Amazon MX Player later this year, free for all users.
