Pushing Buttons Studios, the dynamic production house founded by Bollywood’s beloved duo Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, has taken the industry by storm.
Following their successful debut at the Sundance Film Festival with ‘Girls Will Be Girls,’ the studio has now revealed an exciting lineup of six diverse projects, highlighting their commitment to innovative storytelling, The Variety reported.
‘Girls Will Be Girls,’ directed by Shuchi Talati, earned accolades at Sundance, clinching two prestigious awards – the Audience Choice for Best Film and the Jury Award for Best Actor awarded to lead actress Preeti Panigrahi.
Expanding their creative horizons, Pushing Buttons Studios is set to venture into various genres with their upcoming projects. The eclectic slate includes an adult animated film, a crime thriller, a satire, a musical comedy, a documentary, and a fantasy drama.

The detailed lineup includes:
‘Girls Will Be Girls’ (Coming-of-age drama): A film by Shuchi Talati, portraying the rebellious coming-of-age journey of 16-year-old Mira, disrupted by her young mother’s unfulfilled coming-of-age experience.
‘Papita’ (Crime Thriller): A film by Akash Bhatia, revolving around Porus Bisht, a paparazzi photographer in Mumbai, whose life takes a turn after capturing a pivotal moment involving a renowned celebrity.
‘Doggie Stylez’ (Adult Animation): A tongue-in-cheek satire on modern humans, told through the lens of a society of dogs imitating human values, directed by Ashutosh Pathak.
‘Pinky Promise’ (Musical Comedy): Written by Amitosh Nagpal, the film unfolds in a small Himachal Pradesh town, where Pinky and Goldie, from feuding families, embark on a joyous musical journey, defying expectations.
‘RiAlity’ (Documentary): Directed by Rahul Singh Datta, the documentary captures the whirlwind of wedding planning, demanding jobs, and tricky relationships as Ali and Richa navigate the ride of their lives.
‘Miss Palmoliv All Night Cabaret’ (Fantasy Drama): Directed by Kamal Swaroop, the film follows a revolutionary celibate daku and a cabaret dancer on a platonic musical journey through the fantastical world of Cinematic.
