Rashii Prabhakar has joined Amazon Music as Content Lead – India, marking a new chapter in her career spanning media, technology and digital entertainment.
Prabhakar shared the update through a post on LinkedIn, announcing her new role at the global music streaming platform. In her position as Content Lead for India, she is expected to contribute to the platform’s content strategy and strengthen its engagement with the country’s rapidly evolving digital music ecosystem.
With more than 17 years of experience across media, technology and global brands, Prabhakar brings significant industry expertise to the role. Over the years, she has worked across areas such as partnerships, branded solutions, revenue strategies and media solutions, building a strong track record in the digital entertainment and advertising landscape.
Before joining Amazon Music, she was working as a sales and marketing consultant, collaborating with early-stage and growth-stage startups across the APAC region. In that role, she advised companies on digital marketing, sales strategy and growth planning, helping emerging businesses strengthen their market positioning and scale their operations.
Earlier in her career, Prabhakar held several leadership positions across prominent media and technology organisations. She served as Vice President at INNOCEAN India and later worked as Director at Pixis and Triller, where she contributed to strategic growth initiatives and brand partnerships.
Her professional journey also includes roles with several well-known media and entertainment companies such as Saregama India, Viacom18 Media, Only Much Louder, The Walt Disney Company and STAR India. Across these organisations, she worked on a range of initiatives involving partnerships, branded content and revenue development.
Her appointment at Amazon Music comes at a time when the music streaming market in India continues to grow rapidly, driven by increasing digital consumption and a rising appetite for diverse music content across languages and genres.
