India TV‘s popular news show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ – Rajat Sharma Ke Saath has recorded strong growth in digital viewership after its broadcast time was shifted from 9 pm to 8.30 pm on June 15, 2026.
According to India TV, the show attracted an average of 1.26 lakh concurrent digital viewers after the timing change. the highest number of viewers watching at the same time reached over 1.5 lakh.
The show’s growing popularity was also reflected online, with ‘Rajat Sharma’ becoming one of the top trending keywords on YouTube in India.
India TV’s OTT platform, VETO, also benefited from the move. the platform saw more than 40 percent growth in active users during the show’s new time slot. at the same time, overall watch time on VETO increased by over 60 percent, showing that viewers were spending more time watching content.
The channel said the decision to move the show to 8.30 pm was aimed at providing viewers with more detailed analysis of the day’s major national and international news stories.
Hosted by journalist Rajat Sharma, the programme is known for its in-depth news analysis and political insights. India TV believes the new time slot has helped the show reach a larger audience across television, OTT, YouTube, Connected TV, and social media platforms.
