‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the action-packed sequel that has taken the box office by storm, is making its way back to Indian cinemas with a reloaded version featuring an additional 20 minutes of new footage.
Set to hit theaters on January 11, the extended cut of the film promises to captivate audiences even further, with previously unseen scenes and extra content that were not included in the original theatrical release, IANS reported.
The decision to release the reloaded version comes after the film’s phenomenal box office success, where it grossed Rs. 1,831 crore worldwide in just 32 days. With a strategic move to prolong its theatrical run, the filmmakers aim to keep the momentum alive, especially as the movie continues to enjoy strong audience interest despite its long runtime.
The new content includes an exciting Japan sequence, teased in the trailer but left out of the original release, building anticipation among fans who are eager for these added scenes. The reloaded version of ‘Pushpa 2’ has been timed to coincide with the festive Sankranti season, where movie-watching is a major part of the celebrations, ensuring that it captures the attention of moviegoers looking for fresh content.
The film’s box office performance has already set a new milestone, surpassing the worldwide gross of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ to become the highest-grossing Indian film ever. As the reloaded version hits theaters, there is an expectation that it will further boost its earnings and continue to captivate audiences across the country, even in the face of competition from other big Sankranti releases.
