In a upcoming film ‘Heads of State,’ Priyanka Chopra Jonas will appear alongside Hollywood actors Idris Elba and John Cena.
The picture is produced by Amazon Studios, the same company behind Chopra’s upcoming action series ‘Citadel,’ a PTI report quoted entertainment news outlet Deadline.
Ilya Naishuller, best known for directing ‘Nobody’ in 2021, will direct the project from a screenplay written by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. Harrison Query composed the first draft based on his concept.
Though plot specifics have been kept under wraps, the film has been described as “Air Force One meets Midnight Run.”
It will be produced by the Safran Company’s Peter Safran and John Rickard, PTI reported from Los Angeles.
Cena, who will also executive the film, welcomed Chopra on board the project in a post on Twitter.
Chopra’s latest project, ‘Citadel’, which also stars Richard Madden, is set for premiere on Prime Video later this month.
The actor will also feature in Sony’s ‘Love Again’, co-starring Sam Heughan.
