To fulfill its promise of bringing the best from around the world, &PriveHD has announced a special programming lineup to commemorate the Oscars on Sunday.
On March 12, &PrivéHD will present a day-long lineup of Oscar-winning films.
At 7.30 am, the binge begins with the Portuguese art film ‘The City of God’. Do birds of a feather flock together? But does this hold every time?
The story revolves around Zé Pequeno, a successful mobster who now rules Rio de Janeiro. He incites violence and terror while ruthlessly annihilating rival gangs. Buscapé-Rocket, on the other hand, does everything he can to keep Ze positive.
‘Mitchells vs. The Machines’ begins at 9.15 am. The animated comedy film follows an ordinary family as they face their greatest family challenge yet: saving the world from the robot apocalypse. To capture every human on the planet, everything from smartphones to Roombas to evil Furbys is used. Now it’s up to the Mitchells to save humanity, including upbeat mom Linda, quirky little brother Aaron, their squishy pug, Monchi, and two friendly but simple-minded robots.
Tintin and his adventures come next. In the film ‘The Adventures of Tintin’, intrepid reporter Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock’s ancestor.
Captain James Hook will take Tintin’s place in the film ‘Hook’. The adventure comedy, starring Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, and Julia Roberts, will begin at 12.30 pm.
In addition to the aforementioned films, audiences can watch ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘Jerry Maguire’, ‘Captain Phillips’, ‘The Patriot’ and ‘Blade Runner 2049’.
