Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for ‘The Traitors Telugu’, bringing the popular reality format to Telugu audiences with actor Teja Sajja making his reality television hosting debut.

The 10-episode series will take contestants through a game of trust, deception, secret alliances and betrayal, with new episodes set to release every Thursday.

According to a press release, ‘The Traitors Telugu’ features 20 celebrities from different fields, including Chinmayee Sripada, Harsha Vardhan, Pragathi Mahavadi, Shreedevi Chowdary, Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, Vidyu Raman, Vishnu Oi, Shravya Varma, Dr Meghanath Reddy, Mouneesha Chowdary, Sweekar Agasthi, Ashika Padukone, Varsha D’Souza, Pranav aka Abhinavakavi, SS Vardhan, Rahat Achanta, Gaurav Sunil, Sai Ronak, Puppala Dhanunjaya and Phalguni Bangera.

The series follows contestants as they enter a world of hidden identities and shifting loyalties. While the ‘Innocents’ must identify the Traitors within the group, the Traitors work in secret to avoid being discovered and eliminate their rivals. As the game progresses, friendships are tested and alliances constantly change, making every conversation and accusation potentially part of a larger strategy.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the unpredictable nature of the game, with contestants attempting to figure out whom they can trust while dealing with secret agendas and calculated deception. Teja Sajja serves as the central host, guiding contestants through the twists and turns while bringing his own energy and spontaneity to the format.

For Sajja, the series marks a departure from his previous work as he takes on the role of a reality show host for the first time. He said the opportunity was particularly special as ‘The Traitors Telugu’ marks the first Telugu adaptation of the internationally popular format. According to Sajja, the local edition retains the core elements of the franchise while bringing its own personality and flavour for Telugu audiences.

Produced by SOL Production, ‘The Traitors Telugu’ will stream exclusively on Prime Video in Telugu with English subtitles. New episodes will be released every Thursday at 12 noon IST.

The Telugu edition follows ‘The Traitors Hindi Season 2’, which Prime Video said became its No. 1 non-English title worldwide during its launch week. With its Telugu adaptation, the format is now set to bring its mix of mind games, deception and unpredictable alliances to another regional audience.
