Prime Video has announced a diverse July 2026 content slate featuring original series, new anime seasons, library titles, music festival livestreams and an extensive live sports lineup. Headlining the month’s offerings is ‘Elle’, the prequel to the ‘Legally Blonde’ films, alongside new seasons of popular series, the animated adaptation of ‘The Ghost in the Shell’, and live coverage of the WNBA, NWSL, New York Yankees and NBA Summer League.
According to an Amazon statement put out yesterday, the month begins on July 1 with ‘Elle’, which follows Elle Woods before her Harvard days. Set in 1995, the series sees her navigating high school life, tricky friendships, forbidden romance and questionable fashion choices, while relying on her family and strengthening her bond with her mother.
Prime Video’s July originals continue with Season 2 of ‘Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc.’ on July 5, where Kana Sakuragi and her team return to tackle larger Kaii outbreaks, greater responsibilities and the challenges of startup life after surviving their first year.
Anime fans can also look forward to ‘The Ghost in the Shell’ on July 7, set in 2029 as Motoko Kusanagi investigates the mysterious ‘Puppet Master’ while confronting questions of identity and consciousness.
On July 9, Season 2 of ‘From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman’ follows Beryl Gardenant as he balances life as a knight order instructor, guardian and teacher at a magic academy while facing new battles. The true-crime docuseries ‘Murder 101’ arrives on July 13, centring on a high school sociology class and their teacher as they reopen decades-old cold cases.
The action-comedy ‘Ride or Die’ premieres on July 15, following best friends Debbie and Judith, whose lives spiral into chaos after Judith’s secret life as an international assassin comes to light.
Reality series ‘Young Farts Trailer Parts’ debuts on July 17, chronicling brothers Jagger and Dawson as they build their multimillion-dollar RV parts business through unconventional schemes. Adventure thriller ‘The Devil’s Mouth’ arrives on July 29, following five friends on a final trip along Thailand’s coast that leads them into a perilous cave system, while Season 2 of ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ closes the month on July 31, introducing Edward Nygma, Carrie Kelly and Roxy Rocket as Batman ventures deeper into Gotham City’s underworld.
Prime Video will also stream an extensive calendar of live sports throughout July.
The platform will carry WNBA action, including 31 games during the season featuring stars such as Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson and 2026 No. 1 draft pick Azzi Fudd. Select New York Yankees games will be available for local Prime members during the MLB season, while the streamer will also stream 27 NWSL matches, including the NWSL Challenge Cup and playoff action. The sports lineup further includes ONE Championship on July 18 and comprehensive coverage of the NBA Summer League.
In addition to its originals, Prime Video is adding a wide range of films and series to its catalogue.
