Prime Video showcases exciting titles at annual upfront

Prime Video today gave audiences and advertisers a glimpse into the future of entertainment at Amazon’s annual Upfront Presentation. With an exciting mix of new series announcements, highly anticipated renewals, and A-list celebrity appearances, the showcase highlighted Amazon’s growing clout in entertainment, live streaming, sports, and technology-driven storytelling.

From dramatic new origin stories to nostalgic reboots, the event reflected how Prime Video continues to bridge premium content with massive reach. Featuring stars such as Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Jamie Lee Curtis, Octavia Spencer, John Cena, Michael B. Jordan, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the event doubled as a star-studded celebration of storytelling.

According to the official press note, Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video revealed a string of projects catering to global audiences. One of the biggest highlights was the first look at ‘Spider-Noir’, a live-action Marvel series starring Nicolas Cage set in 1930s New York. The show follows a weary private investigator confronting his past as the city’s sole superhero.

Adding to the lineup, ‘Delphi’, a live-action spin-off from the ‘Creed’ universe, will bring viewers ringside into the gritty lives of young boxers at the iconic ‘Delphi Gym’, with Marco Ramirez on board as showrunner. Meanwhile, the global hit ‘Fallout’ is returning for Season 3, even before Season 2 drops in December. Season 1 has already amassed over 100 million viewers globally, cementing its status among Prime Video’s top three most-watched titles ever.

Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine-backed ‘Elle’, a prequel to ‘Legally Blonde’, will premiere in summer 2026 and explore the origin story of the iconic Elle Woods. In the non-fiction slate, Prime Video also announced a new docuseries featuring trailblazing female CEOs like Serena Williams, Thalia, and Winnie Harlow, among others.

Prime Video continues to lean into nostalgia with ‘American Gladiators’, now rebooted with WWE Superstar Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin as host. Classic challenges like ‘Gauntlet’ and ‘The Eliminator’ will return alongside new competitions. Also in the comedy space, ‘Barbershop’, starring Jermaine Fowler, will be brought to life by Marshall Todd and Max Searle.

Reality giant MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) returns with ‘Beast Games’, which has been renewed for two more seasons after its breakout success. The show, featuring 1,000 contestants competing for a $10 million prize, is now Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted series with 50 million viewers in just 25 days.

On the festive front, ‘Oh. What. Fun’., a holiday ensemble comedy starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Longoria, and Chloë Grace Moretz, will debut December 3. Prime Video also confirmed the return of the ‘Academy of Country Music Awards’ for three more years and introduced ‘The Home Team: New York Jets’, a six-part documentary exploring the NFL season through the lives of Jets players and their families.

‘Thursday Night Football’ will return this year with two headline matchups: ‘Eagles vs Bears’ on Black Friday and ‘Chiefs vs Broncos’ on Christmas Night. More TNF details are expected on May 14.

Other upcoming titles include high-octane shows and films like ‘Blade Runner 2099’, ‘Young Sherlock’, ‘Off-Campus’, ‘The Man with the Bag’, ‘Play Dirty’, ‘Balls Up’, ‘Merv’, and ‘The Wrecking Crew’—promising an unmatched mix of genres and storytelling styles.

Amazon’s Upfront presentation underlined how the platform is marrying creative ambition with cutting-edge technology, making Prime Video a dominant force in the streaming space with content that’s as bold and diverse as its global audience.
