Prime Video has announced the global streaming premiere of the critically acclaimed biographical sports drama ‘Maidaan,’ starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani and Gajraj Rao.
Directed by National Award-winner Amit Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla, ‘Maidaan’ is based on the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, the architect of modern Indian football.
The film, featuring music by A.R. Rahman, is available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in India and 240 countries from June 5.
‘Maidaan’ chronicles the journey of Syed Abdul Rahim, who led the Indian National Football team to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, against the backdrop of a newly independent India.
The film has been praised for its powerful storytelling and exceptional performances, particularly by Ajay Devgn.
