Telugu superstar Prabhas has treated his fans to the first glimpse of his character Rudra from the much-anticipated film ‘Kannappa’, starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, PTI reported from Chennai.
The film, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, is slated for release on April 25, 2025, and follows the journey of Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Prabhas’ character, ‘Rudra’, is described as the embodiment of strength and wisdom—a divine guardian and unwavering protector.
Sharing his first-look poster on Instagram, Prabhas wrote, “The Divine Guardian ‘Rudra’ Unveiling my look as ‘Rudra’. The embodiment of strength and wisdom as the unwavering protector in #Kannappa. Apart from Prabhas and Vishnu Manchu, ‘Kannappa’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including: Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhoo, Mukesh Rishi, and Akshay Kumar (marking his Telugu cinema debut)
Produced under AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, ‘Kannappa’ will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English, making it a true pan-India spectacle.
