In an age dominated by high-concept blockbusters and digital spectacle, ‘Chidiya’ is set to arrive like a quiet breeze — soft, sincere, and stirring. Championing its spirit of heartfelt storytelling, audio entertainment giant Pocket FM has come onboard as the official Storytelling Partner for the film ahead of its theatrical release on May 30, 2025.
The collaboration, rooted in a shared reverence for emotionally rich narratives, is a conscious effort by Pocket FM to amplify meaningful cinema and encourage its 200 million-strong global listener base to support stories that touch the heart. According to a press release, the association is not just a branding exercise but a movement to preserve India’s storytelling legacy.
“At Pocket FM, we have always believed that great stories leave a mark,” said Vineet Singh, Head – Brand Marketing and Communication at Pocket FM. “Chidiya is one of those rare gems that reminds us why we fell in love with stories in the first place. This collaboration is a gesture of solidarity with storytelling that remains as our core. We are proud to stand with Chidiya and invite our community to do the same and show up for stories that move us, not just trends.”
Directed by Mehran Amrohi and produced by Faqhrul Husaini under Smiley Films, ‘Chidiya’ follows the tender coming-of-age story of two young boys growing up in a cramped Mumbai chawl. It’s a story of wonder, innocence, and dreams seen through the lens of a child — anchored by the quiet strength of a family trying to nurture those dreams against all odds.
“Chidiya was always meant to be a feeling,” said director and writer Amrohi. “A slice of life that speaks to anyone who’s ever dared to dream. Collaborating with Pocket FM felt organic, because they, too, believe in the quiet power of storytelling. Together, we are simply doing what storytellers do best — sharing something beautiful with the world.”
The film stars Vinay Pathak as a father driven by hope, while Amruta Subhash grounds the story with a calm yet resilient portrayal of motherhood. The heart of Chidiya, however, rests with the young leads Svar Kamble and Ayush Pathak, whose performances lend an uncommon authenticity to the film.
In the days leading up to its release, Pocket FM will champion ‘Chidiya’ across its platforms through dedicated shout-outs, emotional hooks, and exclusive content pieces — urging audiences to show up for stories that stir, rather than dazzle.
This partnership also follows Pocket FM’s recent announcement of reimagining Shaktimaan as an audio series, reinforcing the platform’s growing commitment to preserving and promoting India’s narrative traditions — from iconic superheroes to tender human dramas like ‘Chidiya’.
As ‘Chidiya’ gets ready to hit theatres, Pocket FM’s support underscores a shared belief — that even in today’s fast-paced digital world, a simple story, told with heart, still has the power to move millions.
