Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL), a joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited and Meta Platforms, has appointed Parminder Singh as its founding Chief Executive Officer, marking a key step in building what is being positioned as one of India’s most ambitious enterprise AI ventures.
The announcement comes as REIL sets out to accelerate enterprise AI adoption across India by combining Meta’s AI capabilities with Reliance’s infrastructure, enterprise reach, and Jio’s nationwide connectivity. The venture aims to deliver scalable, sovereign AI solutions tailored for businesses in India and global markets.
In a statement, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, described the initiative as a generational opportunity, noting that Singh brings a rare blend of global technology leadership, deep Asia-Pacific market understanding, and execution experience. He added that Singh’s appointment is a critical step in assembling a world-class team to define enterprise AI in India and beyond.
Parminder Singh brings with him decades of experience across leading global technology firms, including Google, Apple, Twitter, and IBM. His career has spanned key leadership roles in the Asia-Pacific region, including his tenure as Chief Commercial and Digital Officer at Mediacorp in Singapore, where he led large-scale digital and AI-driven transformation initiatives. More recently, he co-founded ClayboxAI, an AI fluency and leadership advisory firm, and WeKamp, a community platform focused on AI engagement.
Commenting on his new role, Singh said enterprise AI in India is no longer a future aspiration but an immediate opportunity. He emphasized the need for a trusted AI partner that understands both technology and business context, adding that the combined strengths of Jio and Meta create a differentiated platform to address this gap.
The formation of REIL and Singh’s appointment underline the growing momentum in India’s enterprise AI landscape, as large-scale collaborations between domestic conglomerates and global technology players look to shape the next phase of digital transformation.
