In a move poised to reshape the landscape of digital entertainment in India, OTTplay Premium, India’s leading OTT content aggregator, has joined hands with GTPL Hathway Limited, the country’s largest multi-system operator and a major broadband service provider. This strategic partnership aims to make curated OTT content more accessible than ever, through the launch of an exclusive offering—GTPL Genie+.
According to an official press release from OTTplay, the collaboration will give GTPL subscribers access to OTTplay’s expansive library of premium content via GTPL’s new digital offering. Branded as “GTPL Genie+,” the service will provide seamless access to content from over 29 leading OTT platforms through the GTPL Buzz app and the official website (www.gtpl.net).
To cater to India’s diverse entertainment needs, GTPL Genie+ will feature specially curated subscription packs tailored by language, genre, and region. This personalised approach is designed to enhance user experience by delivering content that aligns with individual viewing preferences.
The service, powered by OTTplay Premium, will be available across multiple platforms—including mobiles, smart TVs, tablets, and personal computers—ensuring flexibility and convenience for consumers across the country. GTPL’s entertainment portfolio, already rich with digital cable TV, high-speed internet, and cloud gaming services, will now be further enriched with premium OTT content.
Avinash Mudaliar, CEO and Co-founder of OTTplay, shared his excitement about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to partner with GTPL, a leader in entertainment and connectivity. This collaboration allows us to bring a richer, more seamless content experience to audiences nationwide. With the rising demand for diverse digital entertainment, our combined strengths will redefine content accessibility and elevate the streaming experience.”
Echoing similar sentiments, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, Managing Director of GTPL Hathway Limited, said, “GTPL remains committed to delivering the best-in-class entertainment and connectivity solutions. GTPL Genie+ strengthens our content offering, allowing subscribers to access premium OTT content in addition to our existing content offerings. This partnership with OTTplay Premium will democratise digital entertainment for millions across India.”
With this alliance, OTTplay and GTPL aim to reach households across urban and rural regions alike, enabling smoother, more intuitive access to curated OTT content. The partnership is set to drive the next phase of digital content consumption by combining cutting-edge aggregation with regional and genre-specific customisation—bridging the gap between India’s entertainment appetite and accessibility.
GTPL Genie+ will begin rolling out to customers this month and is expected to boost subscription growth while setting a new benchmark for aggregated digital entertainment experiences in India.
