News18 Odia is set to present the latest edition of ‘Rising Odisha’, a premier platform that showcases the state’s growth story while addressing the challenges that shape its developmental journey. The event will take place on August 19, 2025, from 4pm onwards.
According to a press release issued by the organisers, Rising Odisha 2025 will continue its legacy of fostering impactful dialogue and collaboration by celebrating progress across diverse sectors and facilitating meaningful discussions on the way forward.
The leadership conclave will see participation from some of Odisha’s most prominent political leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and thought leaders, who will share insights on governance, economic growth, tourism, exports, skill development, sports, and cultural heritage. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address.
A distinguished lineup of sessions is planned, including exclusive interviews with Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singh Deo, who holds the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy portfolios, and Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, the state’s first woman Deputy CM, who heads the Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism ministries. In-depth conversations will also feature Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of State for Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education, and Suresh Pujari, Minister of Revenue & Disaster Management.
Further, the event will host interactive sessions with Suryavanshi Suraj, Minister of Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, Odia Language & Culture, as well as Odia film superstar and former MP Anubhav Mohanty. A political debate featuring Manmohan Samal, President of Odisha State BJP; Bhakta Charan Das, President of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee; and Debi Prasad Mishra, Senior Vice President of BJD, will offer diverse perspectives on the state’s developmental roadmap.
Adding a modern twist, a panel discussion with popular digital creators Natia Comedy, Krishna, and Nitiana will explore youth engagement, digital trends, and cultural influence in the age of social media.
