Namma Run

News18 Namma Run is set to return to Bengaluru for its second edition, and this year the city has responded with record participation. More than 10,000 registrations have been recorded for the event, reflecting the growing popularity of the multi-city fitness initiative and Bengaluru’s strong running culture.

According to a News18 press release, Namma Run has been travelling across South India over the past few months, bringing together runners, fitness enthusiasts, families, children and first-time participants through a shared focus on health and community engagement. The series has already been held in cities including Salem, Mysuru, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Chennai, steadily building a larger regional platform around fitness.

Bengaluru, known for its active running communities and increasing interest in fitness-driven events, has emerged as one of the strongest markets for the initiative. The second edition in the city, with participation crossing the 10,000 mark, is among the biggest editions of the Namma Run series so far.

The growing response also reflects a wider change in how urban India views fitness. Running is no longer limited to professional athletes or dedicated fitness groups. It has increasingly become a lifestyle activity embraced by working professionals, corporate teams, students, families and weekend running communities.

Over time, News18 Namma Run has evolved beyond being a city-level sporting event into a recognised regional property that combines fitness, community participation and experiential engagement. With each edition attracting larger audiences and stronger support from partners, the initiative has expanded its presence across South India and strengthened its connection with diverse participant groups.

The Bengaluru edition has also drawn support from brands across sectors such as real estate, healthcare, nutrition, consumer goods, mobility, banking, wellness and lifestyle. Casagrand is the presenting partner for the event, while Fujifilm has joined as co-presenting partner and Royal Enfield as mobility partner.

The event is further supported by a wide range of partners including Gold Winner, Calcimax 500, Parry’s Original Goodness, Milky Mist, Orient Bell, Lalithaa Jewellery, Meenakshi TMT, Fast&Up and US Cranberries. Other associated brands include Sparsh Masala, Craveman Ice Cream, Campa Sure, Raw Atom, Sparsh Hospital, Dynapar QPS Plus, Happiest Health, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Bagrry’s, Advanced GroHair & Gloskin, Supersox, The Health Factory, Date Bites and Reliance Industries.

With larger participation and growing brand support, News18 Namma Run continues to strengthen its position as one of South India’s prominent community fitness platforms, bringing together people of all age groups through a shared interest in health, wellness and active living.
