Netflix has set January 26 as the release date for the digital premiere of the Bollywood film ‘Animal’, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri, PTI reported from Mumbai.
Despite facing criticism for its portrayal of women, misogyny, and graphic violence, ‘Animal’ achieved considerable success at the box office after its theatrical release on December 1, 2023, becoming one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year.
Ranbir Kapoor expressed his anticipation for the digital release, stating, “We are absolutely overjoyed by the response ‘Animal’ received in theatres, and now I am glad that audiences worldwide will get a chance to watch it in the comfort of their homes. The opportunity to showcase our work globally is truly special.”
The film will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada on the Netflix platform.
Described as an action drama exploring the complexities of modern-day relationships, with a focus on the dynamics between a father and son, portrayed by Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, respectively.
‘Animal’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Pranay Reddy Vanga.
As the digital premiere date approaches, audiences worldwide eagerly await the opportunity to experience ‘Animal’ on the popular streaming platform.
