Netflix has renewed its adult animated comedy series ‘Haunted Hotel’ for a third season. The new season is set to return to the streaming platform in 2027.
According to an ANI report today, the series is created by Matt Roller, who is also known for his work on ‘Rick and Morty’. The story follows a single mother who runs the world’s most haunted hotel, called Undervale. She manages the hotel while raising her two children and dealing with supernatural guests. She also gets help from her ghost brother and a demon trapped in a young boy’s body.
Matt Roller expressed his excitement about the third season and said that the upcoming episodes will feature some of the biggest, funniest, scariest and saddest stories the series has told so far. He also thanked viewers and said he was looking forward to welcoming them back to Undervale.
Earlier this month, Roller revealed on the podcast ‘The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood’ that the scripts for the third season had already been written. The creators are aiming to have 10 episodes in the new season, although Netflix has not officially confirmed the episode count.
The third season will see the return of voice actors Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson. The series’ second season premiered earlier this month and debuted on Netflix’s Global English TV Top 10 list.
Since its release in September 2025, the first season of ‘Haunted Hotel’ has recorded more than 15 million views. Matt Roller, Chris McKenna, Steve Levy and Dan Harmon serve as executive producers. Erica Hayes is the supervising director, while Titmouse is handling the animation. Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina are also executive producers.
