Nebula Esports has won the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 5, taking home the championship title and a prize of Rs 40 lakh. NODWIN Gaming announced Nebula Esports as the champions on September 7 after three weeks of competition.
According to a NODWIN Gaming press release from New Delhi yesterday, Nebula Esports finished at the top of the leaderboard with 210 points after 18 matches in the Grand Finals. Gladiators Esports finished second with 189 points and won Rs 15 lakh, while iQOO Orangutan secured third place with 187 points and received Rs 6 lakh.
The Grand Finals featured 16 teams competing over three days. Nebula Esports recorded 116 finishes and four Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCD) during the finals.
Yash Negi, also known as KNOWME, from Nebula Esports was named the BGMS Season 5 MVP. He received the MVP trophy along with a TVS bike. Mohammed Kaif Gulhamid Khan, known as HUNTERZ, from Genesis Esports was named the Most Wicked Player of BGMS Season 5 and received a TVS Raider bike.
BGMS Season 5 crossed 26 million total views and recorded more than 11 million watch hours. The tournament also reached a peak concurrent viewership of over 430,000, including watch parties.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, congratulated Nebula Esports and said the tournament aims to provide India’s best BGMI players and teams with a strong platform to compete and grow.
The BGMS Season 5 journey included the League Stage, Super Weekend, Playoffs and Grand Finals. The tournament had a prize pool of more than Rs 1 crore and was supported by TVS Motor Company as the Mobility Partner and Red Bull as the Energy Drink Partner.
