Netflix is diving into the world of live sports once again, announcing ‘The Netflix Slam,’ a special one-night tennis exhibition event featuring none other than 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal and rising star Carlos Alcaraz.
This headlining clash is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at noon PST/21:00 CET inside the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
As per a press release, the event, presented in partnership with MGM Resorts International, promises a thrilling face-off between the seasoned Nadal and the dynamic Alcaraz. With plans for a dual broadcast catering to both English and Spanish-speaking markets, tennis enthusiasts worldwide can look forward to an immersive experience.
“I’m thrilled for my first visit to Las Vegas, and playing against my fellow countryman Carlos Alcaraz. I’m sure it will be a fantastic night of tennis,” remarked Nadal, expressing his excitement.
Alcaraz, the U.S. Open and Wimbledon champion, echoed his sentiments, saying, “I’m honored and so happy to be sharing the court with Rafa in Las Vegas. He’s an all-time great, and I look forward to our match on March 3.”

The event will mark Netflix’s venture into live sports, complementing its lineup of sports-related content like ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive,’ ‘Untold,’ and ‘The Netflix Cup.’ The production will be handled by Full Day Productions, known for their work on prestigious events such as the ESPY Awards and the Oscars Red Carpet Show.
Tickets for ‘The Netflix Slam’ start at $88 and go on sale to the public on December 15 via www.axs.com, with exclusive pre-sale opportunities available to various membership groups.
