MY FM expands to 37 stations with phase III launch

MY FM, the flagship radio brand of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has expanded its footprint to 37 stations across India with the launch of seven new stations, setting a new benchmark in the Indian radio industry. The network has become the fastest private FM player to operationalise stations from the latest Phase III – Batch III auctions, strengthening its presence in emerging markets.

According to a press release, MY FM is the only private FM network among the licence holders in the latest auction round to have launched the highest number of newly awarded stations in record time, reflecting its operational agility and execution capabilities. The expansion underlines the company’s continued focus on scaling its reach and reinforcing its position as one of India’s fastest-growing private radio networks.

The newly launched stations are located in Daman, Gandhidham, Bhuj, Ratlam, Pali, Sri Ganganagar and Alwar. In each of these cities, MY FM has emerged as the first and only private radio broadcaster, introducing audiences to private FM entertainment for the first time. The network has also received DAVP rate approval from the Government of India for these stations, enabling it to carry government advertising across the newly operational markets.

Commenting on the milestone, Pawan Agarwal, Deputy Managing Director of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, said the company remains optimistic about the future of radio and its growth potential. He noted that the network secured the maximum number of licences in the Phase III – Batch III auctions and highlighted the strong response from listeners in the newly launched cities, adding that audiences are embracing their first private FM experience.

Under the Phase III – Batch III auctions, MY FM secured a total of 14 new licences. The remaining seven stations are scheduled to go live in the first quarter of FY 2026–27, by the end of June 2026. Upon completion, the network will operate a total of 44 stations, positioning it as the fourth-largest private radio player in India.

Rahul Namjoshi, CEO of MY FM, said speed of execution remains a key differentiator for the company. He expressed pride in the team’s ability to launch seven cities within a short timeframe and said the network aims to operationalise the remaining stations soon to further strengthen its national presence.

With a strategy centred on hyper-local programming, strong community engagement and high listener connect, MY FM continues to expand into high-potential markets, delivering region-specific entertainment and information to new audiences across the country while steadily building its nationwide footprint.
