Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors and the world’s richest man, has unveiled X TV, a new feature within the X app (formerly known as Twitter). This innovative addition aims to redefine how users consume films, live content, and recorded shows, all within the X ecosystem.
Musk’s objective is to reduce reliance on external platforms and centralize entertainment and social interaction in a single space, enhancing user experience and engagement, according to a report in the Times of India.
The beta version of X TV, announced by Musk on September 3, 2024, is currently available to a limited group of users. The feedback from these early adopters will be instrumental in refining the platform before a full-scale launch.
Currently optimized for Android TVs, X TV will soon expand compatibility to LG, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV, with plans for further platform integration in the future.
The beta phase will gather crucial user insights, following Musk’s strategy of using real-world feedback to perfect new features.
