Republic Media Network has announced that senior anchor Mridul Sharma will be the new face of Republic Bharat’s most-watched prime-time show, ‘Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai’.
Known for his hard-hitting nationalistic style and sharp news instinct, Sharma has previously helmed the show and won audiences over with his work on ‘News Ka X Ray’. With this move, he steps into one of the most influential editorial slots in Hindi news television.
According to a press release, the network described ‘Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai’ as the “heartbeat” of Hindi news, a 100 percent news format programme that has held the No. 1 position in ratings. Conceptualised and executed by Republic Bharat’s core editorial team, the show is known for breaking big national stories as well as bringing voices from small towns to the forefront, offering a real picture of Bharat.
“This is such an exciting opportunity and I am grateful that I get to host this show which has been ideated by the core team of Republic Bharat since its inception year,” Sharma said. “My promise is simple: to bring Bharat’s story, as it is, straight to our viewers every night.”
Founder and Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami called the show “the soul of Republic Bharat — bold, deep, and deeply connected to the people,” adding that Sharma brings “the energy and credibility to take this show where it needs to go.”
With Sharma at the helm, ‘Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai’ aims to continue leading the Hindi news space by setting the agenda, breaking major stories, and upholding its nation-first editorial philosophy.
