Moumita Ghosh has been appointed Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Aaj Tak Sales at India Today Group, marking a significant addition to the broadcaster’s leadership team. In her new role, Ghosh will be responsible for driving business operations for Aaj Tak SD, Aaj Tak HD and Good News Today, with her base in Bengaluru.
Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Ghosh said she is pleased to take on the role, where she will lead the South Market for the Hindi cluster. She described the transition as a meaningful milestone in her professional journey, shaped by years of learning, unlearning and steady growth across different regions of the country.
Having worked extensively across North, East and now South India, Ghosh noted that her career has given her first-hand exposure to diverse market dynamics, audience behaviour and business ecosystems. These experiences, she said, have helped her build high-performing teams, deliver strategic outcomes and drive sustainable business growth in highly competitive media environments.
In her post, she also acknowledged the role played by mentors, colleagues, partners and teams throughout her career, expressing gratitude for their continued trust and support. As she steps into her new responsibilities at India Today Group, Ghosh said she looks forward to strengthening partnerships, unlocking new growth opportunities and creating long-term value for the business and its stakeholders.
Ghosh brings close to two decades of experience in media sales and leadership, with a strong track record across enterprise sales, branch leadership and revenue strategy. Over the years, she has handled key responsibilities in multiple Indian markets, building teams and leading business operations in fast-evolving media landscapes.
Before joining India Today Group, Ghosh served as Branch Head – South (Display Sales) at NDTV, where she oversaw regional sales operations and contributed to revenue growth. Prior to that, she was associated with Zee Media Corporation Limited as Branch Head – South. In this role, she led go-to-market strategy and revenue operations across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana, managing both enterprise and mid-market segments.
Her appointment comes at a time when Aaj Tak continues to strengthen its leadership and sales strategy to deepen advertiser engagement and expand its footprint across key regional markets. With her extensive multi-market experience, Ghosh is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating growth for the Aaj Tak network in southern India.
