Prepare for an enthralling dive into the underworld of organized crime as Discovery Channel gears up for the eagerly awaited debut of ‘Money Mafia S3’.
Building on the success of its prior seasons on discovery+, this captivating investigative docu-series is scheduled to air its premiere on Discovery Channel on April 7, promising audiences an unprecedented peek into the inner workings of Mumbai’s infamous crime syndicates.
In the inaugural episode of season 3, titled ‘Pay-up or Else’, viewers will be exposed to the intricate web of extortion connecting businessmen, law enforcement, and the mafia. Following this, the second episode, ‘Gold Blooded’, will delve into the historical backdrop of gold smuggling, tracing strategies employed from the 1960s to the present day and the smuggling routes implicated in the 1993 bomb blasts.
Episode three, ‘The Thugs of Drugs’, will scrutinize the emergence of the drug “Meow-Meow” in Mumbai, illustrating the transition from user to dealer and the resulting clashes with authorities.
The concluding episode, ‘Cleaning Dirty Money’, will illuminate the dark underbelly of money laundering facilitated through the diamond trade, banks, UPI, and cryptocurrency, along with its links to Indian politics.
Having garnered high ratings on discovery+, the series has previously uncovered a spectrum of scams, including Identity Theft, Cryptocurrency Cons, The Stock Market Manipulation Scam by Ketan Parekh, and The 2003 Stamp Pamper Scam by Abdul Karim Telgi, among others.
