ENIL, the parent company of the city-centric music and entertainment brand Mirchi, has launched its latest audio series, ‘Purane Khat’, on its digital platform, the Mirchi Plus app.
The 28-episode fiction drama, narrated by actor Rhea Chakraborty, tells the story of protagonist Kaavy’s return to his hometown of Banaras to revisit his past, The Economic Times reported.
The audio drama begins with Kaavy and his travelling companion Maruti returning to Banaras, where memories of his loving mother flood his mind.
Kaavy delves deeper into his mother’s life and the profound impact it had on him in each ten-minute episode, as well as his complex relationship with his father. Kaavy’s visit to his childhood home with Maruti leads to the discovery of his old letters to God, which helped him overcome his loneliness and express his deepest emotions as the journey progresses.
ENIL chief executive Yatish Mehrishi said, “Mirchi consistently endeavours to deliver best-in-class entertainment to its audiences across various platforms and formats. Our app, Mirchi Plus, is dedicated to celebrating India’s profound love of storytelling.
“Staying committed to this mission and establishing Mirchi Plus as ‘Kahaniyon Ka Asli Adda’, we meticulously curate a diverse range of audio shows across multiple genres, including crime, romance, horror, and thriller, catering to our discerning listeners.”
