Mihir Palan has stepped into a new leadership role at WPP Media, taking charge as Associate Vice President for the Asia-Pacific region. The appointment marks a progression in his journey with the company, where he has spent nearly three years as Senior Director – Planning, working closely on strategic media initiatives across key markets.
In his expanded role, Palan will focus on driving regional strategy, strengthening client partnerships and accelerating business growth across APAC, a market that continues to evolve rapidly with digital-first and data-led media solutions.
Before joining WPP Media, Palan built a strong reputation at Kinnect, where he rose through the ranks from Senior Media Director to Vice President – Media. During his tenure, he led high-impact campaigns for marquee clients and developed deep expertise across digital marketing, analytics and integrated, multi-channel media strategies.
Alongside his corporate career, Palan has remained actively engaged with academia. He has served as a visiting faculty at institutions such as Somaiya Vidyavihar University, IIDE and ISME Mumbai, contributing to curriculum and mentoring young professionals entering the media and advertising industry.
With experience ranging from building paid digital acquisition frameworks on platforms like Google Ads to steering complex cross-channel campaigns, Palan brings a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. His elevation is seen as part of WPP Media’s broader push to deepen leadership strength and innovation across the APAC region’s dynamic media landscape.
