On Thursday, Secretary S Krishnan of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) launched ERNET India’s cutting-edge web portal tailored for educational institutions.
This platform, developed using AI, ML, and open-source technology, offers domain registration, DNS, and value-added services like Website as a Service (WaaS) and Learning Management as a Service (LMaaS).
According to the PIB release, users have access to diverse templates for schools, colleges, and universities, enabling them to create personalized websites and Learning Management Systems effortlessly. With a single click, they can customize templates and publish their website and LMS.
Secretary S Krishnan inaugurated ERNET India’s new conference hall, engaging with officers and staff during the event. ERNET India, a non-profit scientific society under MeitY, serves as the exclusive domain registrar for educational and research institutes using ‘ac.in’, ‘edu.in’, and ‘res.in’ domain names.
Additionally, the society provides crucial services such as web accessibility, campus WiFi, smart classrooms, and connectivity via Terrestrial and Satellite systems to educational and research institutes nationwide. It’s also actively involved in establishing data centers, further fortifying its commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure.
