Media industry veteran Jeffrey Gonsalves has passed away on Monday.
Jeffrey was the most respected pioneer who started the first cable TV channel of India, in Colaba, South Bombay along with 6 other members.
He was the digital expert for content syndication, to KL Astro & SG deals to SingTel (of four IPTV packages in APAC zone with Confidential tasks)
He was the visionary and technocrat with Amit Dev who had done the major success in C&S operations of ATN and Sahara TV, to create All India Cable TV Network.
For the unversed, Amit Dev is the only one who had signed the first Indian deal of Sahara TV headed to capture the ‘Home TV’, a cable service who 1st paid to ‘Carriage fee to Operators’; jointly controlled by 3 UK media giants as Carlton, Pearson, Reuters with HTV of Birla BK group.
On the demise of Jeffrey Gonsalves, cable television & satellite entertainment industry said, “We pray to God to bless his divine soul in heaven and give strength to his wife Madam Gonsalves, his family, friends & relatives to bear this immense pain & personal loss.
