Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced that its Chief Human Resources Officer, Manu Wadhwa, will transition into the role of Strategy Advisor, effective July 1, 2026. The move marks a new phase in her association with the company after playing a key role in shaping its people and organisational strategy over the years.
According to an SPNI press release, Wadhwa will, in her new role, work closely with the leadership team on key strategic priorities, drawing on her extensive experience and deep understanding of the organisation. Her transition comes after a seven-year tenure during which she contributed significantly to strengthening the company’s people agenda during a period of transformation.
During her time as CHRO, Wadhwa was instrumental in aligning the human resources function with business strategy, enhancing leadership capability, and modernising performance and rewards frameworks. Her contributions also supported key phases of organisational change, including leadership transitions and structural realignments, while helping foster a culture that balances performance with inclusion.
With prior leadership experience at global organisations such as GE, American Express and Coca-Cola, Wadhwa brought a strong international perspective to SPNI, contributing to its evolution into a more agile and future-ready organisation.
Commenting on the transition, Gaurav Banerjee, MD & CEO, Sony Pictures Networks India, said, “Manu has been an integral part of SPNI’s evolution over the past several years, helping strengthen both our organisational framework and culture. As we move into the next phase of our journey, her experience and perspective will continue to be valuable in her role as Strategy Advisor.”
Manu Wadhwa, CHRO, SPNI, said, “SPNI has been an incredibly meaningful part of my journey over the past several years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to its evolution during a period of significant change. As I transition into this new role, I look forward to continuing to work closely with the leadership team on strategic priorities and supporting the organisation’s next phase of growth.”
The company also said it will initiate the search for a new Chief Human Resources Officer, with further details to be announced in due course.
