Lionsgate Play, the premium streaming destination known for redefining Hollywood entertainment for Indian audiences, is charting an ambitious course for 2026 with a record-breaking lineup of over 100 premieres across languages.

With a clear vision to cement its position as the definitive ‘Home for Action’, the platform is gearing up for its next phase of growth by merging global storytelling excellence with regional diversity and inclusivity.

As highlighted in a press release, since its launch, Lionsgate Play has evolved from a niche Hollywood platform into a dynamic entertainment powerhouse that connects global and local audiences alike. Over the past five years, it has grown exponentially, reaching over 40 million viewers across India through its expanding distribution network. The platform has become synonymous with differentiated narratives and immersive viewing experiences, blending Hollywood finesse with Indian cultural resonance.

The year 2025 proved to be a pivotal one for Lionsgate Play as it diversified beyond Hollywood, tapping into India’s thriving regional entertainment ecosystem. Riding the wave of South Indian storytelling, the platform showcased premieres in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, achieving a remarkable 40 percent surge in overall viewership.

Titles such as ‘Dakshina’, ‘Eleven’, ‘Soothravakyam’, and ‘Racharikam’ complemented Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Den of Thieves 2’, ‘Cleaner’, ‘Locked’, and ‘The Apprentice’, successfully bridging global excellence and local depth.

Looking ahead, Lionsgate Play is set to deliver its most ambitious programming slate yet. The platform’s 2026 lineup will feature a powerful mix of Hollywood and Indian content, including action-packed thrillers, compelling dramas, and regionally rooted stories.

Major upcoming Hollywood titles include ‘Greenland: Migration’, ‘Mutiny’, ‘Maserati: The Brothers’, ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’, and ‘The Rivals of Amziah King’, featuring star power from Gerard Butler, Jason Statham, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, and Matthew McConaughey, among others.
Strengthening its regional presence, the streamer will build on the success of its Southern slate with more than 25 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada titles, reinforcing its commitment to regional storytelling.

At the same time, Lionsgate Play is expanding into Hindi content with a curated mix of crime thrillers, horror comedies, and game shows designed to appeal to the diverse Indian audience. Additionally, the platform continues to enrich its blockbuster library by adding timeless classics such as ‘Charlie Chaplin’, ‘Rambo’, ‘Men in Black’, ‘Jumanji’, ‘Anaconda’, and ‘Spider-Man’, alongside audience favorites like ‘Sherlock’.
