“Killers of the Flower Moon” star Lily Gladstone and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Bowen Yang are teaming up for an upcoming project helmed by director Andrew Ahn.
The film is a remake of the beloved 1993 rom-com “The Wedding Banquet,” originally directed by Ang Lee. Joining Gladstone and Yang in the cast are Kelly Marie Tran, Yuh-jung Youn, and Joan Chen, adding further depth to the ensemble.
Production is slated to begin in May in Vancouver, promising a fresh take on the classic tale. The story revolves around a couple who enter into a marriage of convenience but find themselves caught off guard when the woman’s grandmother makes an unexpected visit, leading to a series of comedic and heartfelt moments.
