The makers of ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’, headlined by actor-comedian Kapil Sharma, have announced that the film will return to cinema halls with a re-release scheduled for January 2026. The decision comes weeks after the film’s initial theatrical outing earlier this month.
According to a PTI report, the comedy entertainer, directed by Anukalp Goswami, had originally hit theatres on December 12. The re-release is expected to give audiences another chance to catch the film on the big screen, riding on sustained interest around the franchise and Sharma’s strong recall value among viewers.
‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ features an ensemble cast including Ayesha Khan, Tridha Choudhury, Warina Hussain and Parul Gulati alongside Sharma. The film follows the chaotic life of Mohan, played by Sharma, who is eager to marry his girlfriend Sania.
However, a series of family compulsions and religious constraints land him in an unusual situation where he ends up marrying three women — Meera, Ruhi and Jenny — each belonging to a different religion and living under separate identities.
The narrative builds on confusion, mistaken identities and comic timing, elements that defined the first instalment and helped establish the franchise as a crowd-friendly comedy. With its mix of situational humour and social commentary wrapped in a light-hearted tone, the sequel attempts to expand the premise while retaining its core comic appeal.
The January re-release is likely to target audiences looking for familiar, easy-to-watch entertainers during the post-holiday period, as Bollywood continues to see renewed interest in theatrical re-runs and extended runs for select titles.
