Sony Entertainment Television’s iconic quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is all set to make its grand return tonight with Season 18. Hosted by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, the new season comes with the theme ‘Sochna Padega’, which celebrates the importance of applied knowledge, critical thinking and making thoughtful decisions.

According to a SET press release today from Mumbai,the season premiere will feature Bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol, who will join Amitabh Bachchan for a special episode filled with humour, nostalgic stories and memorable moments.

Amitabh Bachchan returns as the host of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ for another season. His iconic presence, sharp wit and warm interaction with contestants continue to remain an important part of the show.

With the new theme ‘Sochna Padega’, Season 18 will focus on the importance of thinking carefully and using knowledge before arriving at an answer.

The premiere will also mark Sunny Deol’s first appearance on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. After 26 years, the actor finally makes his debut on the show and admits that he has always felt nervous about appearing on it. Speaking to Amitabh Bachchan, Sunny says, ‘Amit ji, main show se bahut ghabrata hoon, isliye main itne saalon se nahi aa saka.’

Sunny Deol also adds to the entertainment during the episode. When a fan requests him to deliver a dialogue from ‘Ghatak’, the actor instead grooves to ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ before delivering his iconic dialogue from ‘Damini’: ‘Yeh dhai kilo ka haath jab uthta hai na… toh aadmi uthta nahi, uth jata hai!’

Preity Zinta also shares an interesting story about her early career and her admiration for Amitabh Bachchan. She reveals that she was keen to share screen space with the veteran actor and agreed to sign the film ‘Armaan’ on the condition that she would get a scene with him.

Director Honey Irani agreed to her request, leading to Preity playing a comatose patient who remains still while Amitabh Bachchan appears in an imaginary sequence.

Aamir Khan, meanwhile, recalls a hilarious incident from his earlier appearance on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. He reveals that while facing a Rs.25 lakh question, he tried to find the answer by reading Amitabh Bachchan’s facial expressions.

Aamir assumed that the computer screen in front of the host displayed not only the question but also the answer. Aamir tells Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Mujhe kya laga Sunny, ye jo computer screen hai Amitabh ji ke samne, unko question toh aata hi hai lekin answer bhi aata hoga.’ Bachchan later scolds him for taking such a big risk.

Aamir responds humorously, ‘Main aapke chehre ko dekh ke khel raha tha!’ Amitabh Bachchan then clarifies that his glasses do not contain any secret answers, turning the moment into a light-hearted exchange.

With Amitabh Bachchan returning as host and Aamir Khan, Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol joining him for the premiere, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18’ promises a mix of knowledge, entertainment, nostalgia and celebrity moments. ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18’ premieres tonight at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
