The golden era of Indian television was filled with memorable family sagas, and few shows captured hearts like ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’. As the iconic drama celebrates its 25th anniversary, the cast came together in a heart-warming reunion, evoking nostalgia and reminding fans of the show’s enduring legacy.
According to a PTI report, the celebrations saw actors Sakshi Tanwar (Parvati), Shweta Kawatra (Pallavi Agarwal), Sweta Keswani (Avantika), Sucheta Trivedi (Shilpa) and others revisiting their beloved roles. Kawatra shared a special video on Instagram, reflecting on the deep bonds formed on set: “Met as strangers, Hung as friends, Became a tribe, 25 years or 25 blinks … We wouldn’t know. Be it Bahus or Babuji, Be it memories or marriages, We did it all here, And we did it with Elan!” She also tagged co-star Manav Gohil, rekindling memories of the show’s iconic moments.
Creator Ektaa Kapoor paid tribute to the show, recalling its cultural and emotional significance. She highlighted how the series, which premiered on October 16, 2000, portrayed family values, middle-class complexities, and the emotional fabric of Indian households.
Kapoor noted, “25 years of this show! Sakshi Tanwar and the whole cast of this show, along with the creative teams, made it a beacon of hope for those looking for a celebration of our culture that wasn’t often represented back then!”
Running for eight successful years, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ starred Tanwar as Parvati and Kiran Karmarkar as Om Agarwal, becoming one of the longest-running and most beloved serials in Indian television history. The show became a household name, where every twist and turn in the story sparked discussions across generations.
