Held on December 20–21 at Makuhari Messe, the annual event once again proved to be a key platform for unveiling updates tied to some of the most popular titles from Shueisha’s Jump universe.

According to a Netflix report, the streamer confirmed premiere dates, new seasons, trailers and casting details for several fan-favourite properties, underlining its growing focus on anime as a global content pillar. Among the biggest highlights was the long-awaited return of ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ with its acclaimed ‘Steel Ball Run’ arc.

‘Steel Ball Run’ ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ will premiere exclusively on Netflix on March 19, 2026, beginning with a special 47-minute ‘1st Stage’ episode. A new main trailer and fresh character visuals, including Sand Man and Pocoloco, were unveiled at the event. Based on Hirohiko Araki’s legendary manga, which has sold over 120 million copies worldwide, the series is set in late 19th-century America and follows a perilous transcontinental horse race across North America. At its heart is the unlikely alliance between Johnny Joestar, a former racing prodigy who has lost the use of his legs, and Gyro Zeppeli, an enigmatic outlaw with his own hidden agenda.

Another major announcement came with the confirmation of ‘Sakamoto Days’ Season 2. The action-comedy series, which follows former legendary hitman Taro Sakamoto as he protects his quiet family life from waves of assassins, has built a strong global fanbase since its debut.
