JioStar assembles 100+ experts for Men’s T20 WC 2026

As anticipation builds around the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be hosted across India and Sri Lanka, JioStar has announced what it calls its biggest-ever expert panel for an ICC tournament. The broadcaster is bringing together an expansive line-up of over 100 former players, champions and renowned voices to deliver comprehensive coverage of the global event across multiple platforms.

The announcement signals JioStar’s intent to raise the bar for cricket broadcasting, with the expert panel supporting the official ICC TV world feed and offering commentary and analysis in nine languages.

Viewers will be able to follow the action in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Bangla, with Bhojpuri and Haryanvi making their debut for the first time in an ICC World Cup broadcast.

The panel features a strong Indian core, including ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 champion Yuzvendra Chahal, who will make his World Cup commentary debut. He will be joined by several members of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning squad such as Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag, Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa and Piyush Chawla. Former India batter Suresh Raina, the country’s first centurion in T20 World Cup history, is also part of the line-up, along with former head coach Anil Kumble and former support staff members Abhishek Nayar and Sanjay Bangar.

Adding global depth to the coverage are international stars and past champions, including Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews from Sri Lanka’s 2014 triumph, Carlos Brathwaite and Samuel Badree from the 2016 West Indies title-winning side, and South Africa’s current Test and ODI captain Temba Bavuma. The panel also includes other celebrated names such as Eoin Morgan, Matthew Hayden, Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar — who all bring decades of experience and perspective to the broadcast.

Fans can also expect familiar broadcast voices from the global cricketing ecosystem — like Harsha Bhogle, Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop, Ian Smith, Michael Atherton, Shaun Pollock, Dale Steyn and Simon Doull among those joining the ICC TV commentary team.

Beyond expert analysis, JioStar is introducing several viewing innovations for the tournament on JioHotstar. These include MaxView in English and Hindi for mobile users, designed to offer a more immersive experience, as well as Indian Sign Language coverage for all India matches and knockout games, expanding accessibility for a wider audience.

With an unprecedented scale of expert talent, multilingual coverage and new broadcast features, JioStar is positioning its ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 presentation as one of the most inclusive and in-depth cricket viewing experiences ever offered to Indian fans.
