The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) has announced a three-year exclusive digital streaming partnership with JioHotstar for the Jharkhand T20 League (JT20 League), marking a significant milestone for the state’s premier franchise-based cricket competition.
The agreement will see JioHotstar stream all matches from the inaugural 2026 season as well as the 2027 and 2028 editions, bringing the tournament to cricket fans across India.
The development comes as part of the JSCA’s efforts to provide a larger platform for emerging cricket talent from Jharkhand. With JioHotstar being one of the country’s leading sports and entertainment streaming platforms, the partnership is expected to give the league nationwide visibility from its very first season.
The platform currently streams major cricket properties, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), Women’s Premier League (WPL), ICC tournaments, and bilateral series hosted by the BCCI, Cricket Australia, and Cricket South Africa.
Speaking on the association, Shahbaz Nadeem, Honorary Joint Secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, said the partnership represents an important moment for cricket in the state. He noted that the JT20 League has been designed to identify and nurture talent capable of progressing to the highest levels of the sport, and that JioHotstar provides an ideal platform to showcase these players to a national audience.
Sambhav Jain, Director of AV24 Sports Private Limited, the league’s official organiser, said the JT20 League offers an important pathway for emerging cricketers and expressed confidence that the collaboration with JSCA and JioHotstar would help bring Jharkhand’s cricketing talent into the national spotlight.
The JT20 League is the first official franchise-based T20 tournament owned and conducted by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association. Organised in partnership with AV24 Sports Pvt. Ltd., the league aims to create opportunities for players to advance from state-level cricket to national and international stages.
Several prominent cricketers from Jharkhand are expected to feature in the inaugural season, including Ishan Kishan, Robin Minz, Kumar Kushagra, Anukul Roy, Sushant Mishra, Utkarsh Singh and Virat Singh. Their participation is expected to add further excitement and credibility to the competition while inspiring the next generation of cricketers from the region.
The inaugural edition of the JT20 League will commence on June 10, 2026, and run through June 23. The tournament will feature a packed 14-day schedule, with double-header matches during the league phase, followed by semi-finals and the final. The championship match and presentation ceremony are scheduled for June 23.
With JioHotstar on board as the exclusive digital streaming partner, the JT20 League is set to begin its journey with extensive national reach, offering cricket enthusiasts an opportunity to follow the rise of some of Jharkhand’s most promising talent.
