Filmmaker James DeMonaco, best known as the creator of the hit horror thriller franchise ‘The Purge’, is set to direct Miramax’s upcoming thriller ‘Vigilant’, according to a report by ANI.
The project will see DeMonaco return to the thriller genre, where he has established a strong reputation with his work on suspenseful and socially driven stories.
The filmmaker gained global recognition with ‘The Purge’, which went on to become a successful franchise with multiple films exploring themes of crime, survival and human behaviour.
While details about the storyline of ‘Vigilant’ are currently under wraps, the film is being developed as a thriller project by Miramax. The makers are expected to announce further details, including the cast, production schedule and release plans, at a later stage.
