ITV has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Paramount Global Content Distribution that will allow UK viewers to watch shows like ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ and ‘Freaks and Geeks’ for free on ITVX in 2023 and beyond.
To spice things up in the new year, vampire horror From ‘Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’, starring DJ Cotrona, will be released in January.
‘Beauty and the Beast’, starring Jay Ryan and Kristin Kreuk, will be released in February 2023, followed by the supernatural mystery Medium, starring Patricia Arquette, the company said in a statement.
For those looking for lighter fare, ‘Freaks and Geeks’ starring James Franco and Seth Rogan, as well as Diablo Cody’s ‘United States of Tara’ starring Toni Collette, will be available in January 2023.
In the spring of next year, ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’, starring Rachel Bloom, ‘Everybody Hates Chris’, narrated by Chris Rock, and ‘Jane the Virgin, starring Gina Rodriguez, will be released.
ITV’s Head of Content Acquisitions, Sasha Breslau said, “We are thrilled to be working with Paramount Global Content Distribution to bring such a fantastic mix of content to ITVX viewers in 2023 and beyond”.
The deal was negotiated by ITV Head of Content Acquisitions Sasha Breslau and Controller of Acquisitions, Rights and Regulatory, Jonathan Vandermeer.
