ITV Network has launched NewsX World, India’s first aggregated multi-channel news OTT app exclusively built for Connected TVs (CTV).
This innovative leap comes at a time when audiences are rapidly transitioning to smart platforms for their daily news fix. The app was earlier unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underscoring its national significance and ITV Network’s technological vision, an official press release shared by ITV Network stated.
NewsX World brings together all nine channels of ITV Network under one unified digital umbrella. The comprehensive lineup includes flagship brands like NewsX (English), India News (Hindi), and six powerful regional channels—India News Haryana, India News UP UK, India News Gujarat, India News MP CG, India News Punjab and India News Rajasthan. The newly introduced NewsX World channel is also part of the bouquet. With just one app, viewers can now access round-the-clock national, regional, and global news—seamlessly, directly on their connected TVs.
NewsX World has been designed keeping in mind the evolving habits of modern Indian audiences. With AI-powered content recommendations, real-time curation, and a smart user interface, the app promises a hyper-personalised news experience tailored to individual preferences. Whether it’s breaking stories, live debates, or topical features, the content dynamically adapts to user behaviour—making it immersive and interactive.
Speaking on the technological breakthrough, Akshansh Yadav, Chief Product & Technology Officer at ITV Network, said, “The CTV app marks a new era in the news domain. Our vision was to create a digital ecosystem that not only aggregates the finest news content but also transforms the way users interact with news. With personalised content and recommendations, we offer a truly immersive and engaging experience that keeps users informed, involved, and coming back for more.”
Abhay Ojha, Group CEO, ITV Network, also emphasised the strategic intent behind the launch: “We are building a digital-first company that will break the barriers of traditional news broadcasting. By harnessing the power of personalised content, NewsX World is poised to pivot digital broadcasting into the next orbit. It’s not just an app—it’s a movement toward the future of news.”
This launch also positions ITV Network among the first few Indian media houses to embrace platform-agnostic and AI-powered journalism at scale.
