The Indian government has said that it has empaneled four influencer marketing agencies, as of now, to disseminate information related to various campaigns and initiatives of the administration.
Replying to a query from a fellow parliamentarian in Lok Sabha (Lower House) yesterday, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar admitted four agencies have been empanelled so far, while the evaluation of the remaining 10 are underway.
The four influencer marketing agencies empanelled to work with government portal www.mygov.in are Appinventiv Technologies Pvt Ltd, Clanify Media Pvt Ltd, Savin Communication Private Ltd and Windchimes Communications Pvt. Ltd.
“MyGov has published a RFE (Request for Empanelment) to empanel Influencer Marketing Agencies with MyGov for enabling wider dissemination and enhance citizen engagement to a higher level. The agencies will be required to work with MyGov for dissemination of information related to various campaign/initiatives of MyGov,” the Minister said.
Chandrasekhar was asked whether the government had floated a tender for empanelment of influencer marketing agency with mygov.in along with the reasons for doing so.
Chandrasekhar added: “No work has been assigned to these empaneled agencies and no expenditure has been incurred so far.”
