British actor Isla Johnston, best known for her performances in ‘Kiri’ and Netflix’s acclaimed series ‘The Queen’s Gambit’, is in negotiations to take on the lead role in Warner Bros’ upcoming historical epic ‘Jehanne d’Arc’.
According to a PTI report ,the 18-year-old actor will headline the project, which is being helmed by celebrated filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. The Australian director, renowned for films such as ‘Strictly Ballroom’, ‘Moulin Rouge!’, ‘Australia’, and ‘The Great Gatsby’, has also co-written the screenplay with Ava Pickett.
