Popular television actress Shivangi Joshi is reportedly set to participate in the second season of ‘Lock Upp’, the captive reality show that returns later this month on Netflix with a revamped format and new hosts.
According to a UNI report, Joshi has signed on as one of the contestants for the upcoming season, although the makers have not yet officially confirmed the complete participant line-up.
Best known for her performances in the TV shows ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, ‘Barsaatein’ and ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4’, Joshi enjoys a strong fan following and is considered one of the most popular faces on Indian television. Her participation is expected to add significant audience interest to the reality series.
If confirmed, ‘Lock Upp’ will mark Joshi’s second major reality show appearance after her stint on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 12’ in 2022. Reports indicate that she recently completed a shooting schedule for Heartbeats Season 2, where she plays a medical intern.
The new season of ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’ is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 27. Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan, the show is expected to feature 14 celebrity contestants competing in a high-pressure environment built around truth, strategy and survival.
The first season of ‘Lock Upp’, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, premiered in 2022 and was won by Munawar Faruqui.
