Meta-owned Instagram has announced a new feature, which will allow users to add up to five links to their profile bios.
According to IANS, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the new feature in a post on his Instagram feed on Tuesday, noting that “the feature has been a top request among creators.
Users can now add links to their profiles in the mobile app by updating their profile, where they can give them titles and reorder how they appear.
According to the report, if a user adds more than one link to their profile, visitors will need to click through a message that states “(Your first link) and 1 other” to see the full list of links.
This means that if a user has many links to display on their Instagram profile or already uses a ‘Link in bio’ service like Linktree, people will have to click twice to see their links.
In the meantime, Instagram has unveiled new capabilities for its short-video creation app that will empower producers. The social network has created a dedicated site for popular audio and hashtags, added two new metrics to Reel insights, and expanded the availability of Reel presents to more countries. Creators may now check what the most popular subjects and hashtags are on Reels.
